What is Hosted Chat?
Hosted Chat is Knotr’s in-app chat: a custom runtime optimized specifically for Knotr Profiles and capabilities. It runs your Skills and Knowledgebases and can create or update Artifacts.
Is Hosted Chat in beta?
Yes. Features, routing, and included AI credit allowances may change as we learn from real usage. Beta features are provided as-is.
How do AI credits work?
AI credits measure the work Knotr performs for you in Hosted Chat. Simple requests use fewer credits; large-context, multi-step, and Deep requests use more. Credits are not a fixed message count or raw token bundle. See Billing & Usage for your balance.
How many AI credits do I get?
Free includes 100 AI credits each month on your signup cycle. Pro includes 1,000 and Max 2,500 per billing period (monthly refresh on annual plans too). Team pools 1,000 credits per paid seat. Allowances may be tuned during beta.
Does using ChatGPT or Cursor with Knotr use my credits?
No. When an external AI client pays for its own inference and uses Knotr over MCP, that work does not consume your Hosted Chat AI credit allowance.
