Connecting ChatGPT, Cursor, and Claude
- How do I connect Knotr to ChatGPT?
- Sign up and create a profile. Open that profile, go to Integrations, and choose ChatGPT. Use Connect on ChatGPT for a one-click install (one install per profile), or follow Developer mode if you are wiring it yourself. In ChatGPT, enable the Knotr plugin and ask it to load your profile at the start of a session.
- How do I connect Knotr to Cursor?
- Sign up and create a profile. Open that profile, go to Integrations, and choose Cursor. Connect Cursor with one click, then install the profile plugin when prompted. Start a chat and let Cursor load your profile so tone and skills stay in sync.
- How do I connect Knotr to Claude?
- For Claude on the web, Desktop, or Cowork, sign up, create a profile, open Integrations, and choose Claude Cowork. Add a custom web connector in Claude with your Knotr MCP server URL, complete OAuth sign-in, and enable the connector. For Claude Code CLI, download the IDE plugin bundle from Integrations and load it with claude --plugin-dir.
- Do I need a separate Knotr profile for each AI tool?
- No. One Knotr profile can connect to ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, and other MCP clients at the same time. ChatGPT allows one install per profile, so use separate profiles only when you need distinct personas.
- Where do I find connect buttons after I sign up?
- Open a profile and go to Integrations. Each supported client has setup steps, OAuth details, and download links there. Public Works with pages describe what to expect before you sign up.
