MCP Any MCP client

Connect any MCP client to your Knotr profile

If your tool can connect this way, point it at your profile. ChatGPT, Cursor, and Claude have guided pages; this is the path for everything else.

Setup takes a minute after you create a profile. Open Integrations → MCP.

What you can do

Knotr in MCP, not a generic feature list.

  • IDEs beyond Cursor

Windsurf and other compatible editors can use the same profile. You get your skills without a Knotr-specific installer.

  • Custom agents

If a client can connect, it can load your profile, run skills, search knowledge you chose to expose, and save artifacts when the work should last.

  • One connection per persona

Each profile has its own endpoint. Switch identities by connecting a different profile, not by rewriting prompts.

Simple setup

Exemplary steps only. After you sign up, Integrations has the real connect buttons for this profile.

  1. Sign up and create a profile.
  2. Open that profile, go to Integrations, and choose MCP for the server URL.
  3. In your client, add a remote MCP server and paste that URL.
  4. Complete sign-in when prompted, then ask the client to load your profile to confirm the connection.

What travels with you

Whatever you expose on that profile: who you are, skills you chose to share, knowledge attached to those skills, and artifacts you want to keep or publish. Named tool pages have friendlier steps when they exist.

Common questions

What is MCP?
A way for compatible clients to reach your Knotr profile. ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, and other tools can share one knowledge layer instead of each keeping a private copy of you.
Should I use this page or a named tool page?
If you use ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code, Claude, or Gemini, start on that tool's page. Use this path when your client is not listed.
Do I paste API keys into this page?
No. This overview never shows secrets. After signup, Integrations has the connection details for that profile.
Can any connected tool keep work in Knotr?
Yes. Compatible clients can save documents and pages as artifacts and hand you a link. Gemini cannot; it is instructions-only.
Can a connected client present several saved outputs together?
Yes. Compatible clients can group artifacts into a Collection and hand you a present link for an ordered walkthrough. Gemini cannot; it is instructions-only.
Is Knotr free to start?
Yes. Sign up free with no credit card. After you create a profile, open Integrations and follow the steps for that tool.
