    Workflows you packaged in Knotr are available in Gemini Spark after the custom app is connected. You are not rebuilding them as a one-off Gem.

  • Keep the write-up when the task ends

    When Gemini Spark produces a brief or page worth sharing, ask it to save a Knotr artifact. You get a link in your workspace, and you can group several into a Collection for an ordered walkthrough.

Simple setup

Exemplary steps only. After you sign up, Integrations has the real connect buttons for this profile.

  1. Sign up and create a profile.
  2. Open that profile, go to Integrations, and choose Gemini.
  3. On a computer, open gemini.google.com and switch from Chat to Spark. Then open Settings & help → Connected Apps. If you do not see it, open Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps.
  4. Under Custom apps for Spark, choose Add a custom app, paste https://knotr.ai/mcp/v1, and finish sign-in.
  5. In a Spark task, type @ and select Knotr, then ask Gemini to load your profile.

Custom Connected Apps are only available with Gemini Spark access, and only inside Spark tasks. They are not available in Gemini Chat. Switch from Chat to Spark to see Custom apps for Spark. Google also requires you to be 18 or over and in the US, signed in with a personal Google Account (not a work or school account), with Keep Activity on. The feature is English-only. You add the app in the Gemini web app; after it connects, it works in Gemini Spark on the web and in the Gemini mobile app. If Spark is unavailable, paste Knotr instructions into Settings → Personal Intelligence → Instructions for Gemini. Pasted instructions do not load skills, search knowledgebases, or save artifacts.

What travels with you

When the custom app is connected, Gemini Spark can use your profile, skills, knowledge, and artifacts, including Collections you want to present together. Gemini Chat cannot. If you can only paste instructions, only that text travels, and you should copy a fresh block after you edit the profile.

Common questions

Does Gemini support a live Knotr connection?
Yes, in Gemini Spark. It is not available in Gemini Chat. Switch to Spark, add Knotr as a custom Connected App with https://knotr.ai/mcp/v1, finish sign-in, and invoke it with @ in a Spark task. Accounts without Spark paste instructions instead.
Who can add a custom Connected App?
You need Gemini Spark access. Google also requires you to be 18 or over and in the US, signed in with a personal Google Account rather than a work or school account, with Keep Activity on. Custom Connected Apps are English-only and work only inside Spark tasks. You connect them in the Gemini web app; after that they work in Gemini Spark on the web and in the Gemini mobile app.
What if I do not see Connected Apps?
Switch from Chat to Spark, then open Settings & help → Connected Apps, or Personal Intelligence → Connected Apps, and look under Custom apps for Spark. If the option is still missing, your account is outside Google's current eligibility rules. Paste the instructions from Integrations into Settings → Personal Intelligence → Instructions for Gemini.
Can Gemini save Knotr artifacts?
Yes, in Gemini Spark, after you connect the custom app. Ask it to save the write-up as an artifact, or group several into a Collection and share the present link. Gemini Chat and pasted instructions cannot save artifacts. Anyone can still open a Knotr link in the browser.
Will pasted instructions stay in sync automatically?
No. The live connection stays current when Gemini Spark calls about-me. A pasted instruction block is a copy. Paste it again after you change the profile.
Is Knotr free to start?
Yes. Sign up free with no credit card. After you create a profile, open Integrations and follow the steps for that tool.
